Imagine Princess Tutu is a live action TV show.
CUUUUUUTTTTTT!!!!!!!
What happens on the set of Princess Tutu when the cameras stop rolling? Imagine the characters as roles on a show and all the work that goes into putting the show together. Have fun with the characters as actors and how they are different from the roles they play.
Is Fakir actually a famous playboy actor? Maybe Ahiru is a condescending diva? Is Femio a mild-mannered intellectual? Maybe Autor is a pop/rap artist trying to break into acting. What if Rue is a famous actress playing her first villian role? Is Mr. Cat pure special effects, or a guy in a suit?
You can show what goes on backstage, the make-up/costume room, cast interviews, or even show the actor reactions to meeting the fans or reading online forums.
To this end of depicting the actors over the characters, the stipulation/trick to entries for this contest is that most actor/actress teams that play romantic leads are NOT together in real life. Therefore, you can show whatever character set you want, but we will not accept entries that depict the "canon" romances as being true off-set. So no romantic depictions of Ahiru/Mytho, Rue/Mytho, or Fakir/Ahiru.
Things to keep in mind:
The point of this prompt is to do a modern-day AU where all the characters are actually actors. Have fun with it.
Try to have the actors behave noticiably different from their character. They don't have to be opposites, but we must be able to tell it is not just Ahiru.
To enforce the "actors" part of the prompt, no romantic depiction of canon couples witll be accepted. That means no Ahiru/Mytho, Rue/Mytho, or Fakir/Ahiru. Non-shippy images are encouraged though.
Have fun with it. You can mock or admire the settings, the costumes, the story, or the fan base.

BOTH fan art and fan fiction will be accepted.
Only entries that adhere to the rules set in the contest prompt will be accepted.
To be an official entry, you must submit your piece into the "2010 MAY Contest" gallery folder by the deadline.
After the deadline has passed, the folder will be closed and no new submissions will be accepted.
As per general contest rules, you are allowed to submit up to three entries. (Admin can only submit one.)
