Well, it's about THAT time.
Fessing up and all.
This was a piece created, in part, to be the promotional image for the next

contest.
[link]But not really.
The contest, where the members would submit art or fiction of the Princess Tutu characters as genderflipped steampunk versions of themselves, never really happened. It was an April Fool's Day joke

and I decided to play.
Long story short: We had come up with some prompts for the next contest to be voted on by our members. In the midst of discussion about the topics, Becky decided to combine two in order to see how many votes it would get. It eventually got the least votes. We had decided, prior to the results, to take the loser of the poll and use that as a joke. It was a not too surprising pleasure that this lost and got used.
Despite being a joke, I think the promo art itself is actually a pretty nice collaboration piece on our parts.

Asatira did the pencil and inks, and I did the digital colors.
Her sepia-toned version of the piece can be seen here:

Thank you to everyone who played along, and we'll see you for the REAL contest in May.

But when a trick results in such pretty and creative work, it's hard to feel too bad. Thank you for finishing and sharing your piece.
