Okay, of the (now) 4 Gwarcheidwad seen on my DA gallery recently, I want one of the main stories to focus on Sophia here. (Expect 5 primary Gwarcheidwad characters to be running around my DA once I finish fleshing them out.)
Sophia's Spirit is Tewa, and they've only been together for 6 months when I jump into their story. They're both young by the standards of their respective groups, and rather naive in ways. That's part of the point of telling that story. Breaking Sophia into the hard business of doing whatever it is Gwarcheidwads do, teaching her what they are and what it means (and by proxy the audience)... without getting her hurt or dead. This means disabusing her of any romantic notions about being chosen by a Spirit to have these "great powers".
This will be a key scene, that you'll see in full later, when she thinks something ought to have gone one way (if only to be fair for the hardships endured), only to learn it doesn't work out prettily in real life.
A big Thank You
for naming Logan(WindShadow),
for naming Jordan(the doctor),
for naming Sophia.
